Pangea celebrates economic empowerment of the poor by using business - especially around crafts - to create sustainable livelihoods. At Pangea visitors can purchase crafts, home décor and accessories created by grassroots artisans, learn about the products' origins, and know that their purchase helps create sustainable livelihoods for the artisans.

For most of the artisans featured in the shop, this is the first time their products have been available in the United States. Every purchase helps them increase their family income, which in turn, helps strengthen local economies in developing countries.
